JAMESTOWN (NewsDakota)- Jamestown Senior Thomas Newman has had huge games in the past, and added another one to the collection on Saturday, but for the Bluejays, the Moorhead Spuds were simply too much.

Newman scored 42 points, including 32 before halftime, but a 21-0 second half run by the Spuds sank Jamestown to a 78-69 loss on Saturday at the Jamestown Civic Center.

A first half that saw ten lead changes was led by Newman, who scored 19 of his teams last 23 first half points in leading 42-37 at the half.  But Reign Battle scored fifteen of his team-high 27 in the second half and the large run turned a 55-50 Jamestown lead into a 71-55 deficit.  Brian Zarazua Jr added 19 for Moorhead.
