DEVILS LAKE – Jamestown’s big line was quite big.
Parker Roelfsma, Jackson Maddock and Nate Walz combined for 11 points Friday, with Roelfsma and Maddock each scoring twice, in Jamestown’s 5-2 non-conference win against Devils Lake at Burdick Arena.
Weston Stromme scored first for Devils Lake (4-10-0-0, 3-7-0-0 East) 7:18 into the first period. But Roelfsma, set up by Maddock and Walz, tied the game at 1-1 just 26 seconds later. Later in the period, Maddock scored two goals only 19 seconds apart at 13:29 and 13:48. The Blue Jays were up 3-1 after one period.
Roelfsma scored again seven minutes into the second period for a 4-1 advantage for Jamestown (9-4-1-1, 7-4-1-1 West).
At 4:02 of the third period, Thomas Connor tallied for Devils Lake. Walz closed the scoring with a power play goal for the Blue Jays with 1:37 left.
Leif Hanson stopped 19 shots in goal. Jamestown out shot Devils Lake 29-21.
