The funeral service will be10:30 am, Tuesday January 28, at the Oliver-Nathan Funeral Chapel.

Lynn Edward Wilson was born and raised in Pillsbury, North Dakota.  He attended all 12 years of school at Pillsbury. Following graduation Lynn worked in Fargo, North Dakota.  During that time, he met Margaret “Peggy” Thilmony at Dario’s in Valley City where she worked as a waitress.  With much persistence from Lynn, Peggy agreed to a date and the rest is history.  In January of 1957, Lynn moved to Long Beach, California.  Peggy joined him in February of that year, and they were united in marriage February 19, 1957. They both worked until Lynn was drafted into the Army in September of 1958.

While stationed in the Army in Anchorage, Alaska, a baby girl, Brenda Kaye, was born in June of 1960. In august of 1960 Lynn was discharged from the service.

The family moved to Dazey, North Dakota where they bought a garage, selling it in 1962. They then moved to Pillsbury where Lynn worked for the Barnes County Highway Department driving a maintainer.

A son, Charles Lynn, was born in June of 1967. In October of 1968 a second son was born, Wayne Alan.

In the spring of 1969, Lynn and Peggy purchased the Roy Griffiths farm south of Pillsbury where they farmed until 2010 and retired to Valley City and would spend the next 13 winters in Arizona.

Always a farmer at heart, Lynn often shared and reminisced of his John Deere and Case tractors, especially his John Deere 4630.  He was the proud owner of many Cadillacs throughout his years. Lynn also enjoyed a good game of cards where he could “take our money” and would relax with a good ole’ western of Bonanza or Gunsmoke.

Lynn will be remembered as a person who could talk to anyone and always make a friend.  Most of all Lynn will be remembered for the family man he was and the little wink and twinkle in his eye.

Lynn is survived by his daughter Brenda Liebenow; sons Charles (Lynn) Wilson, Wayne Wilson; brother Reed Wilson; sister Jean Slotto; six grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his wife, a brother Clayton Wilson, sister Vadne Bidwell and son-in-law Larry Liebenow.
