JAMESTOWN – Jamestown Blue Jay Boys hockey got back on the winning track Tuesday night with a 6-3 West Region victory over Dickinson at Wilson Arena.
Jamestown blew out to a 3-0 lead after one period thanks to goals from senior Jacoby Traut, his fourth, freshman Parker Roelfsema, his seventh, and senior Jackson Maddock, his ninth.
The Jays tacked on two more in period two as junior John Belzer notched his fifth and junior Bennett Goehner picked up his eighth of the season when Jamestown took advantage of a 5-3 power play.
Roelfsema added his second of the game and eighth of the season in period three.
Jamestown outshot the Midgets 47-22 with senior goalie Cooper Kirkeby stopping 19 shots.
Maddock added three assists to finish off a four point game and senior Nate Walz also dished out three assists.
With the win, the Blue Jays moved into a second place tie with Bismarck Century in the standings, each has 24 points.
Next up for Jamestown is a non conference game at Devils Lake on Friday. The Jays return to West Region play on Saturday with a 3:30 PM matinee with Williston at Wilson Arena.
