VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The former Youth Center in Valley City is being renovated after the James Valley Youth for Christ organization purchased the building on East Main.

Executive Director Troy Gunderson said local contractors have been hired to repurpose the building. He said there will be plenty of fun activities for area youth once the building opens later this year.

Gunderson said fundraising is underway for this restoration project. He said one way people can give is through the upcoming Giving Hearts Day on February 13.

Gunderson said the Youth for Christ organization is half-way there to raising $50-thousand-dollars for this project to benefit area youth.
