JAMESTOWN – A back half rally wasn’t quite enough Saturday for University of Jamestown ACHA Division 2 Men’s Hockey.
St. Thomas led 3-0, then held on for a 3-2 win over UJ Saturday at Wilson Arena.
Zach Simon scored in the first period for the Tommies, then Dylan Lewis and Luke Morrisette tallied in period two.
Brooks Roaldson scored his 12th goal of the season at 14:41 and the Jimmies (14-11) were within 3-1.
Blake Klien hit the net at 2:29 of the third period. James Poole had the primary assists on both goals.
St. Thomas out shot Jamestown 34-33. Xavier Baker stopped 31 Tommie shots.
The Jimmies will again host St. Thomas on Sunday at Wilson Arena.
