YORK, NE – Nationally-ranked wrestler Allyssa Johnson had a win and Leah Willard finished second Saturday for University of Jamestown Women’s Wrestling at the York Open at the Freeman Center.

Johnson, ranked 11th in NAIA women’s wrestling at 160 pounds won in the open division by winning four matches, three by pin.  Johnson pinned Josie Houk of Fort Hays State in the title match.

Willard, also wrestling at 160 pounds, was second in the amateur division bracket.  She had three pins before being pinned by Ayana Fletcher of Iowa Western.

On Thursday, the Jimmies will compete in duals with Dakota Wesleyan and Morningside at DWU’s Christen Athletic Center.
