ABERDEEN, S.D. (NSU) – Northern State University is set to host its 9th annual Teacher Job Fair on Friday, Jan. 31, from 8:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Barnett Center.

The Millicent Atkins School of Education and Career Services are working together to host this event, which helps future teachers connect with school administrators and learn about opportunities in education.

The day will start with small group discussions, giving teacher candidates the chance to talk directly with administrators from schools across South Dakota and nearby states. In the second part of the day, the job fair gives candidates time to speak with school representatives, explore open positions, and get tips on improving their resumes.

This year’s special guest is George Hawkins, the 2024 South Dakota Teacher of the Year. Hawkins will share insights from his teaching career and inspire the next generation of educators.
