VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Hi-Liner/Farmers Union Insurance Wrestler of the Week ending January 12, 2025 is Senior Koltyn Grebel. Koltyn cemented his place in the Valley City wrestling history books with his fourth Bismarck Rotary title, the only Valley City wrestler to accomplish this feat. The Bismarck Rotary is one of the toughest wrestling tournaments in the region that featured 29 teams from three states: North Dakota, South Dakota and Montana. Koltyn had to best a Montana State Runner-up in the Semifinals and a 3X North Dakota State Champ(Ben Deforest) from Bismarck High school in the Championship match. Ben only had one loss to North Dakota competition in his 5 year varsity career coming into the title match. Koltyn also hit a career milestone in the championship win with his 200th career varsity win. Koltyn currently sits in 3rd place in all time in varsity wins with a chance to pass brother and 3X State Champion Koye Grebel (204 varsity wins) in the coming weeks. Koltyn has 131 career varsity pins and sits in 2nd place all time in Hi-Liner wrestling history.
