
JAMESTOWN – Brooks Roaldson scored twice Friday as University of Jamestown ACHA Division 2 Men’s Hockey defeated Waldorf 4-1 at Wilson Arena in the team’s first game since a month-long break for the holidays.
After Treyson White scored for Waldorf 5:59 into the first period, Roaldson tied the game with his 10th goal of the season for UJ (13-10) 38 seconds into the second period, assisted by Tyler Ralph and James Poole.
Poole and Spencer Schipferling then set up Roaldson’s power play goal that proved to be the game-winner at 2:08 of the third period. Ralph scored his 14th, assisted by Roaldson, at 4:50 of the third. Nick Gergen scored on the power play, assisted by Tanner Freed, with 1:24 left.
The Jimmies out shot Waldorf 45-29. Alex Lamont made 28 saves.
Jamestown will again host Waldorf on Saturday.
