JAMESTOWN – NSAA women’s leader Dakota State rallied in the second half for a basketball win Saturday, then Jamestown’s men used a huge run for a fourth straight win.
Dakota State’s women won 74-72 at Harold Newman Arena, followed by a 94-73 Jamestown win.

After Jamestown (13-3, 3-2 NSAA) led 43-34 at halftime, Dakota State (13-3, 5-0) rallied for their 11th consecutive win.
Kenzi Simmons hit six three-pointers for 18 points for the Trojans. Tabor Teel scored 14 of her 16 points in the second half.
Kate Cordes led the Jimmies with 23 points. Jessika Lofstrom scored 13 with seven rebounds. Hannah Hagel and Samantha Paulsen scored 12 points apiece.
After UJ led by 14 in the third quarter, Dakota State outscored Jamestown 22-10 in the last 8:48. Simmons hit a three with 4:27 left to cap a 12-2 run and put the Trojans up 68-60. A Bria Wasmund shot in the paint with 2:25 left put DSU into a 72-62 lead before the Trojans held on.
Dakota State outscored Jamestown 40-29 in the second half, where the Jimmies shot just 38 percent from the floor.
Men: Jamestown 94, Dakota State 73
Jamestown (8-7, 4-1 NSAA) won for the fourth straight time with a 55-point second half and scored a season high in points.
DSU (7-10, 0-5) led 19-7 eight minutes into the game, but Jamestown rallied for a 39-38 halftime lead despite shooting just 38 percent in the first half.
64 percent second-half shooting and a season-high 17 three-pointers helped Jamestown turn the game around in the last 20 minutes. They outscored Dakota State 36-13 in the first 13 and a half minutes of the second half.
Silas Bennion hit four threes and led Jamestown with 22 points. Ayden Stainbrook established a career high with 18 points. Owen Hektner scored 16 and Anthony Walters added 15.
Tyler Beckwith scored 16 points for Dakota State.
