JAMESTOWN – Five games into the conference schedules for Jamestown Blue Jay Basketball, the outcomes continue to be tough.

Bismarck High swept a varsity doubleheader Friday at Jerry Meyer Arena to keep both Jamestown teams winless in the WDA.  Bismarck’s girls overcame a halftime deficit to beat the Blue Jays 55-45.  A turnover-prone Jamestown boys team lost to the Demons 94-55.

Girls: Bismarck 55, Jamestown 45
Jamestown (2-6, 0-5 WDA) held a 26-21 halftime lead before Bismarck (4-4, 2-3) rallied, outscoring Jamestown 34-19 in the second half.

Kambree Neumiller scored 15 to lead the Demons with three three-pointers, four rebounds, two assists and two steals.  Izzy Dahl hit two threes and scored 10.

Leah Trumbauer scored 13 for the Blue Jays with six rebounds, two assists and three steals.  Macey Neumiller hit two three-pointers and tallied 11 points.

Jamestown held Bismarck to 32 percent shooting and had a 47-33 rebounding advantage, but also committed 25 turnovers.

Boys: Bismarck 94, Jamestown 55
Bismarck (6-2, 3-2 WDA) never trailed after scoring first and blazed to 55 first-half points.

Khaliq Austin hit seven three-pointers and scored 24 to lead the Demons.  He also had five rebounds and three assists.  Andre Austin scored 15 points with seven rebounds, seven assists and three steals.  Artie Carlow knocked in 14 points and knocked down four three-pointers.

Jaxon Kolpin scored 12 for Jamestown (0-7, 0-5).  He hit two three-pointers and had five rebounds.  Braxton Perkins scored 10 points and Thomas Newman had nine.  The Blue Jays were plagued by 28 turnovers.

Jamestown will host Legacy in a doubleheader on Tuesday at Jerry Meyer Arena.  Coverage will begin on Tuesday at around 5:30 PM on Q101.
