The 2025 NDFB Farm and Ranch Conference, a pivotal event for agricultural professionals, is set to take place on February 21-22 at the Radisson Hotel in Bismarck, North Dakota. This conference is designed to equip attendees with the latest knowledge, resources, and strategies needed to succeed in the dynamic field of agriculture.
This year’s event will host an array of informational breakout sessions that cover a variety of pertinent topics. These include the ‘Diversifying Ag Panel’, which will explore ways to broaden agricultural operations; a session on ‘Livestock Risk Insurance’ to guide producers on protecting their investments; updates and opportunities within ‘USDA Programs’; and the ‘Advocating for Ag at Any Level Panel’, which aims to empower attendees to advocate effectively for agriculture.
Joey Bailey, NDFB’s Director of Organizational Development, highlights the conference’s value, noting, “This event provides a fun and interactive experience, offering excellent opportunities for networking and building relationships within the agricultural community.”
A highlight of the conference is the Discussion Meet, set for February 22. This competition challenges young agricultural professionals to demonstrate their problem-solving skills and engage in in-depth discussions on the future of agriculture.
The winner of this event will receive a $4,000 cash prize and the chance to represent North Dakota at the national Discussion Meet during the 2026 American Farm Bureau Federation Annual Meeting in Anaheim, California. Additionally, the top four finalists will each receive a Blackstone Grill.
Eligibility for the Discussion Meet requires membership in the NDFB and participants must be between the ages of 18 and 35. Competitors must not have reached their 36th birthday by January 31, 2025, to qualify for the national meet.
For those interested in the future of farming and ranching, the 2025 NDFB Farm and Ranch Conference offers an invaluable platform for growth, learning, and collaboration. Registration details and more information about the event can be found on the NDFB website.
