JAMESTOWN – In a team full of talent, Payton Schell stood out for Minot.

Schell scored 35 points Tuesday as the top-ranked Magicians easily defeated Jamestown Blue Jay Boys Basketball 100-55 at Jerry Meyer Arena.

Schell, an all-WDA player last season, hit four three-pointers and had six rebounds, three assists, two steals, and six blocked shots.  Aric Winczewski added 16 for Minot (7-0, 4-0 WDA) with seven rebounds, nine assists and four steals.  Fischer Johnson had 12 points, with Jalen Gunville and Grayson Schaeffer each scoring 11.

Thomas Newman led Jamestown (0-6, 0-4) with 13 points, including nine-of-nine free throws.  Jaxon Kolpin and Caleb Schiele had seven points apiece.  The Blue Jays suffered their eighth straight loss, dating back to last season’s West Region tournament.

Jamestown will host Bismarck at around 7:45 PM on Friday at Jerry Meyer Arena.
