CASS COUNTY, N.D. (CCSO) – Around 2:15 a.m. Tuesday, January 7th, Cass County Deputies responded to an active alarm at Bank North in Arthur, North Dakota. When deputies arrived on scene, they discovered the ATM at the bank had been forcibly broken into. While deputies were investigating the incident, they received a notification from Traill County, advising that a bank in their jurisdiction had also been burglarized and the suspect vehicle associated with the Traill County incident was reported to be traveling southbound back into Cass County.
Cass County Deputies located the target vehicle and attempted a traffic stop. The vehicle fled at a high rate of speed, leading deputies on a pursuit that ultimately ended along County Road 26 near Northern Cass School. Deputies detained all three (3) occupants who were eventually arrested and transported to the Cass County Jail. The three (3) individuals are facing criminal charges for their alleged involvement in connection with the Cass County burglary. No injuries were reported to law enforcement or the responsible parties during the arrest.
Sheriff Jesse Jahner commended the efforts of Cass County Deputies and acknowledged the vital collaborative work with neighboring Traill County and Bank North employees, which contributed to the successful arrest of the alleged responsible parties.
33-year-old Zachary Huesers of Garrison, ND, 30-year-old Jacob Stein of Fargo, ND, and 30-year-old Tucker St. Croix all face felony burglary charges stemming from these incidents.
