JAMESTOWN – Jamestown Blue Jay boys hockey put up a season high seven goals on Friday night, including the final three of the game, in a 7-5 win over Grafton/Park River at Wilson Arena.

Senior Nate Walz had a monster game with a goal and four assists, including the game winning tally with a little over five minutes remaining that snapped a 5-5 tie.

Senior Jackson Maddock netted his fourth and fifth goals of the season and freshman Parker Roelfsema banged in his fifth of the year and added three assists.

Senior Grant Lunde blasted home his third of the season and senior Vaughn Romsdal joined the scoring parade with his third of the year.

Junior John Belzer chipped in with his second of the season as the Jays outshot the Spoilers 40-25.

Blue Jay sophomore goalie Leif Hanson stopped 20 shots.

Grafton/Park River was led by standout James Larson. The junior ripped in his ninth and tenth goals of the season and he added three assists.

Jamestown improves to 5-2-0-1 on the season and the Spoilers slip to 2-7-0-1.
