CARRINGTON (NewsDakota)- Sometimes the shots simply do not fall. Fortunately for Carrington girls basketball, they’ve got more than enough defense for those sometimes.
The fourth-ranked Cardinals dominated in improving to 6-1 on the year with a 48-24 win over the Hazen Bison on the opening day of the Carrington Holiday Shootout on Friday afternoon.
After Miranda Mosset tied the game at 3 with Hazen’s only triple of the game, Carrington went on a 17-2 run over the next nine minutes to take a double digit lead that would never be threatened as the Cardinals got balanced scoring again, with nine players scoring, led by freshman Marah Johnson’s twelve points.
Carrington wrap up the Carrington Holiday Shootout by facing Dickinson Trinity on Saturday with coverage on KDAK The Cardinal beginning at 3:15 PM.
