VALLEY CITY, ND  (NewsDakota.com)  The opening boys basketball game of the season for Valley City was a tall task.

Devils Lake, the defending state champions and currently ranked second in the state, ran by Valley City 82-54 Tuesday night at the Hi-Liner Activity Center.

Individual scoring was not available.

The Hi-Liners will be in action December 29th, when they face Dunseith at the Hi-Liner Activity Center.
