KANSAS CITY, MO – Ellie Holen, University of Jamestown Women’s Volleyball’s all-time leader in digs, is now a three-time NAIA Defender of the Year award winner and a three-time All-American.
The NAIA announced its 2024 All-American selections Tuesday.
Outside hitter Aleah Zieske was named a second-team All-American, giving her a second straight All-American honor.
Holen, a graduate student from LaMoure, had 2,967 digs in a career that spanned five seasons and 166 matches. This season, Holen was best in the country with 5.83 digs per set and her 490 digs were third. Holen was als0 a first-team All-American in 2023 and on the second team in 2022.
Zieske, a senior from Spicer, Minnesota, had 350 kills and 4.17 per set to rank 13th nationally. In the last two seasons, she has averaged 3.91 kills per set. Zieske was a third-team All-American in 2023.
