Carrington, N.D (NewsDakota.com)—-The Carrington boys basketball team battled with third rated Shiloh Christian for 3 quarters before faltering late and losing 69-49. Shiloh held a 21-14 advantage after the first quarter and appeared to keep a 7 point advantage going into halftime leading 31-24. With a few seconds remaining in the first half after Carrington cut the lead to 7, Wyatt Westin drilled a 28 foot contested 3 pointer from the top of the key to give the Skyhawks a 34-24 halftime lead.

The Cards hung around most of the third quarter but trailed 46-35 going into the fourth quarter. The Skyhawks blew it open leading by as many as 28 (69-41) before the Cards scored the final 8 points to end the game at 69-49. The Cards were paced in scoring by Maddox McLlonie with 14 points, Taylen Mehring with 13 points, ans Josh Bickett with 12 points and a team high 9 rebounds. The Skyhawks were led by Westin with 18 points, Dawson Davis with 16 points, and 9 points each for Triston Griess and Landon Barth. Shiloh improves to 2-0 overall and Carrington drops to 1-1.
