STATEWIDE, N.D. (Vision Zero) – ND Sober Ride will offer discounted Lyft rides, where available, in time for the holidays. Codes will be available from Dec. 18 to Jan. 4, 2025, or while codes last. Use Lyft code “VZWINTER24” to get $10 off your ride.

ND Sober Ride is a Vision Zero program to remove impaired drivers from North Dakota roads. Over Thanksgiving weekend, ND Sober Ride provided 76 sober rides, with the goal of providing more rides as the holiday season continues.

“North Dakotans continue to demonstrate their commitment to keeping their loved ones and community safe by choosing to utilize ND Sober Ride. As you celebrate this holiday season, join the growing number of people making a sober ride a priority,” said Safety Public Information Program Manager Lauren Wahlman.

Many lives would be saved in North Dakota each year if every driver consistently makes the choice to always drive sober, designate a sober driver or use a ride-hailing service.

Codes are sponsored by AAA – The Auto Club Group. Companies interested in becoming a part of the solution can sponsor ND Sober Ride by contacting lwahlman@nd.gov.

Lyft codes are unique to each period available, and a user may only use a code once per time period. Codes can be found on the Vision Zero website.

This campaign is part of the Vision Zero strategy to eliminate motor vehicle crash fatalities and serious injuries on North Dakota roads.
