HUNTER, N.D. (NDHP) – A semi driver was cited after a two vehicle semi crash south of Hunter, North Dakota on Thursday, December 12th.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol responded to the intersection of State Highway 18 and Cass County Road 26 just after 7:30 a.m.

The Highway Patrol said a semi driven by 52-year-old Sean Moore of Mayville was southbound on State Highway 18. He swerved to avoid another semi driven by 25-year-old Ankit Kumar of California, going west on County Road 26 and crossing State Highway 18.

Moore’s semi hit the trailer of the other semi. Kumar’s semi tipped over and landed on the driver’s side.

Highway 18 was reduced to one lane for several hours while the crash scene was being cleared. Both of the drivers were not injured in the crash.

Kumar was issued a citation for failure to yield right of way at intersection marked with stop sign.
