JAMESTOWN – Jamestown Blue Jay boys hockey stayed perfect on the season with a 1-0 win over Bismarck in West Region action Thursday at Wilson Arena.
The only goal of the night was scored by freshman Parker Roelfsema, his third of the season, in period one, with assists to senior Jacoby Traut and junior Max Whittman.
Blue Jay sophomore goalie Leif Hanson kicked out 17 shots, including three Demon shorthanded breakaways in the third period, to preserve the victory.
Jamestown outshot Bismarck 44-17, but Demon sophomore goalie Owen Deeter was outstanding in the net and kept his team in it until the end.
Next up, Jamestown will take its 4-0-0-0 record to Williston on Saturday to face the 4-0-0-0 Coyotes with first place in the West Region on the line.
Bismarck slips to 1-5-0-0 on the season.
