VALLEY CITY, ND  (NewsDakota.com)  The Hi-Liner girls wrestling team finished runners-up in the Dan Unruh Invitational Tournament in Wahpeton this past weekend.

Deegan Kirschenmann and Mylee Christianson led the Hi-Liners, with Kirschenmann winning a championship at 130 pounds and Christianson winning the 142-pound title.

Victoria Sanchez and Gabriella Hannig were finalists, with Hannig finishing runner-up at 118, and Sanchez runner-up at 124.

Camden Kappenmann finished third at 100, Katherine Russell finished third at 148, and Valerie Acosta Bautista finished third at 136.

Bethani Schuldheisz won a title in the 124-B division.

The Hi-Liner girls will participate in a triangular in Lisbon Thursday, facing Lisbon and Breck-Wahp.
