JAMESTOWN – Jamestown Blue Jay Boys Wrestling began its season with a seventh-place finish Saturday in the Knights of Columbus Invitational at Jerry Meyer Arena.

The Blue Jays totaled 70.5 points.

Three Jamestown wrestlers placed third: Cole Anderson at 114 pounds, Riley Schlafman at 145 and Lucas Schlepuetz at 152.  Jaxsen Morris was fourth at 215 pounds.  David Carrizales placed fifth at 121.  At 127, Caden Lanwe was sixth.  Heavyweight Conner Smith finished seventh.  In eighth were Keagen Maragos at 127, Atticus Tritschler at 133, Mack Allmaras at 172 and Paul Krebs at 189.

Mandan will come to Jerry Meyer Arena Thursday for a dual with the Blue Jay boys.  First, the girls teams will square off and coverage will begin at 5:15 PM on The Voice of the Blue Jays, Jamestown 107.1.
