JAMESTOWN – Sixth-ranked Minot State rallied with two goals in the second period Friday for a 2-1 win over 14th-ranked Jamestown in ACHA Women’s Hockey at Wilson Arena.
Just 42 seconds into the second period, Journey Miller evened the game at 1-1. Olivia Opheim scored for the third time this year for the game-winner with 2:28 left in the middle frame.
Bethany Wielgosh scored her second on the power play for the only goal for Jamestown (4-9-2-1) at 5:28 of the first period.
In her first collegiate start, despite losing, Katelyn Galuszka played well in goal for the Jimmies, making 30 saves.
Jamestown will play host to Midland Friday night at 7:00 PM at Wilson Arena.
