VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A Valley City man resisted arrest and allegedly assaulted two peace officers.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol said on Tuesday, November 26th, around 6:20 PM CST, a Highway Patrol Trooper located a vehicle in Valley City occupied by 48-year-old David Compson. Officer said Compson had an active felony warrant for Terrorizing. The Trooper and a Valley City Police Officer removed Compson from the vehicle to place him under arrest for the outstanding warrant and he resisted. Compson allegedly assaulted both officers before ultimately being taken into custody.
Compson was booked into Barnes County Corrections Center for the warrant, assault on a peace officer and resisting arrest.
Both the NDHP Trooper and Valley City Police Officer sustained minor injuries.
