VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Barnes County Sheriff’s office will be moving back into the courthouse after being at two other locations for nearly two decades.
Barnes County Commissioner Cindy Schwehr said it will be nice to have the sheriff and his deputies back in the courthouse.
The tentative time frame for the move will be later this year or in early January.
Meanwhile the historic old jail, north of the courthouse will be razed next year.
No date has been set for the demolition of the old Barnes County jail.
