VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Valley City High School students had to walk out of several classrooms after a steam boiler value sprang a leak about 10am on Thursday, November 21st.
Superintendent Josh Johnson said the leak caused a strong odor and students and staff members had to be removed from that floor of the high school.
Johnson said students won’t return to that floor or classrooms until the area has been properly ventilated.
Once again, no one was injured during this incident at the high school in Valley City.
Valley City Fire Department and police officers responded to the call for service on November 21st.
Valley City Fire Chief Scott Magnuson no fire fighter was injured in this incident. He said Superintendent Josh Johnson handled the incident properly and made sure students and staff members were moved to another part of the building to avoid any additional expose to fumes from the leak.
