CARRINGTON- After five seasons leading the Carrington girls volleyball program, head coach Megan Trautman has announced her resignation from the role. She informed her team and staff of her decision on Monday afternoon.
Trautman amassed a five-year record of 115 wins and 47 losses, while only winning less than 20 games in a season during the covid-shortened 2020 campaign. During her five years as head coach, Trautman led the Cardinals to at least the Regional Semifinals every year while winning the District V Championship three times.
“Life happens. With getting married in August 2025 and getting my masters degree, things are changing.” Trautman told KDAK The Cardinal Sports Director BJ Walters.
Trautman was named both District V and Region III Coach of the Year in 2024.
