MARYLAND HEIGHTS, MO – Brynn Carter’s goal with 3:34 remaining Friday capped a three-goal comeback and gave 13th-ranked Lindenwood a 4-3 win over 14th-ranked Jamestown in ACHA Women’s Hockey in the Women’s Midwest Collegiate Hockey Showcase at the Centene Community Ice Center.
Loki Antonio started the rally for Lindenwood with her 18th goal of the season on the powerplay with 7:31 left in the second period. Ava Bilton tied the game for the Lions with another powerplay tally at 7:25 on the third period.
Jayden Baker scored twice for Jamestown (3-7-2-0) as the Jimmies had a 3-1 lead midway through the game. Bethany Wielgosh scored with 1:20 played in the opening period, her first goal. Baker scored at 7:55 of the first and UJ led 2-0 after 20 minutes.
Julia Schoonbaert scored for Lindenwood 4:09 into the middle period before Baker’s fourth goal at 8:55. Mikaela Nimetz set up both of Baker’s scores.
Lilah Drew made 37 saves for the Jimmies in net.
Jamestown will play top-ranked Liberty on Saturday afternoon in O’Fallon, Illinois.
