CARRINGTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com/VNL) – The Carrington Police Department, in collaboration with other law enforcement agencies, successfully apprehended 32-year-old Kyle Maez-Schaak, who had escaped from the Grand Forks Correctional Center.

Maez-Schaak, wanted on multiple warrants across several counties including Foster, Cass, Benson, and Grand Forks, has a history of criminal offenses, authorities report. His escape from the correctional facility prompted a multi-agency search, with officers focusing efforts in Carrington and surrounding areas.

According to law enforcement, Maez-Schaak was last known to frequent the Carrington area, often seen at a trailer park residence.  Details on where and how he was apprehended were not disclosed.
