JAMESTOWN – In the second of back-to-back matches, the Jamestown Jimmies kept up their return to excellent play.

Jamestown swept Dordt on Friday at Harold Newman Arena, 25-16, 25-20, 25-15.

Jamestown (21-1) was up 14-11 in the first set before the Jimmies scored eight of the next 10 points, aided by kills from Charlee Krieg, Charlotte Lempka and Aleah Zieske.  A Gracie Adamson kill and Ellie Holen ace were the the final two points of the set.

Dordt (14-13) led 18-16 in the second set before UJ scored five straight, then four of the set’s last five points, ending with a Grace Hegerle ace.

Tymber Boldt’s kill capped an 11-1 run in the third set and gave Jamestown a 22-11 lead.  Boldt had two more kills, then Lexi Olson finished the match with a kill.

Olson had 11 kills and hit .688.  Zieske had nine kills and Adamson scored eight.  Tenley Buddenhagen had 23 assists, with Lily Bertsch setting up 19.  Ellie Holen had 22 digs.  Olson had one solo block and three block assists.

Jamestown will host Minot State to close the regular season Thursday at Harold Newman Arena.  Coverage will begin at around 6:45 PM on The Voice of the Jimmies, Jamestown 107.1.
