JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The early voting precinct at the Stutsman County Courthouse, located at 511 2nd Ave SE in Jamestown, will be open to residents starting today with hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. through Nov. 1, and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Nov. 2. On Election Day, Nov. 5, Stutsman County residents can cast their ballots at designated polling locations from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The Jamestown Civic Center, located at 212 3rd Ave NE, will serve as the primary polling site for all Stutsman County residents. Additionally, voters residing in Precinct 472910 may vote at the American Legion at 100 Water St E in Medina.
To be eligible to vote in North Dakota, individuals must be U.S. citizens, at least 18 years old on Election Day, and legal residents of North Dakota, having lived in their precinct for 30 days prior to the election. North Dakota does not require voter registration; however, voters must provide an acceptable form of ID, such as a North Dakota driver’s license, a tribal ID, or a long-term care ID certificate. Additional documents, such as a utility bill or bank statement, may be used to supplement the ID if the address or birthdate is missing.
