ORANGE CITY, IA – The best stretch of this season for University of Jamestown Women’s Soccer is coming at the end.
UJ scored four goals in the second half Thursday for their third straight win, 4-1 over Northwestern College at the NWC Soccer Complex.
Alyssa Caton broke a goalless draw in the 52nd minute, set up by Bre Oettle, for a 1-0 lead for Jamestown (8-7-0).
Madi Manary scored to even the match in the 69th minute for Northwestern (3-12-1).
Sidney Mikes scored her fourth in the 72nd minute and the Jimmies led 2-1 and would not relinquish the lead again.
Gaby Sarkis sealed the match with goals in the 78th and 88th minutes. She leads UJ with eight goals.
Jamestown had a shot advantage of 24-16 and 11-6 on goal. Allyson Johnson made five saves.
The Jimmies will close their regular season Saturday against Morningside in Sioux City, Iowa.
