EDGELEY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A 13-year-old juvenile was injured Tuesday afternoon when the Polaris RZR 170 side-by-side they were driving overturned at a rural residence northeast of Edgeley.
The crash occurred at approximately 3:40 p.m. while the juvenile was attempting to perform donuts in a farmyard. According to the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the side-by-side overturned during a turn. The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt but was wearing a helmet, sustained a serious but non-life-threatening injury.
Emergency personnel from the Edgeley Ambulance treated the juvenile at the scene. The injured youth was then transported by family members to Jamestown Regional Medical Center for further care. The name of the juvenile has not been released.
The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol. No charges have been filed.
