JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – U.S. Senate candidate Katrina Christiansen criticized Sen. Kevin Cramer for financially supporting state legislative candidates who participated in the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot.
According to a report by Rob Port, Cramer has used tens of thousands of dollars from his leadership Badlands PAC to fund individuals linked to the riots. Christiansen expressed her dismay at Cramer’s actions, stating that while he boasts of a close relationship with Capitol police, he simultaneously supports those who attempted to “subvert our democracy.”
“It is obvious Senator Cramer’s priorities are not aligned with the people of North Dakota. While he has been busy backing Capitol rioters for office, he hasn’t been working on a Farm Bill, lowering drug prices, or securing the border,” Christiansen added.
The criticism highlights a growing divide between the two candidates as the 2024 Senate race heats up.
