Though the Jamestown Blue Jays suffered a loss, they stayed in the top five of the AA football poll. A loss by Valley City knocked the Hi-Liners below that threshold.
In the latest North Dakota Associated Press Sportscasters & Sportswriters Association poll, released Monday, Jamestown fell two spots to number five. The Blue Jays were beaten by Minot North 25-7 on Thursday. Valley City fell below the top five after their 21-14 loss Thursday at Dickinson, but still received votes.
Grand Forks Red River, still unbeaten after a 13-7 overtime win over Horace, remains in the top position.
Minot assumed the number one spot in AAA. Previously top-ranked Fargo Davies lost to West Fargo Sheyenne.
