JAMESTOWN – Jackson Kuznik scored the deciding goal in a shootout Sunday as Minnesota defeated the University of Jamestown in ACHA Division 2 Men’s Hockey 2-1 at Wilson Arena.
The first two rounds of the shootout were scoreless before Tyler Bishop tallied for the Golden Gophers (3-1-0-1).
Brooks Roaldson then forced an extra round by scoring for Jamestown (4-3-1-1).
After Kuznik’s fourth-round goal, Tanner Freed missed for Jamestown to end the game.
Davis Thompson scored the Jimmies’ only regulation goal at 4:22 of the first period. Bishop tied the game in the second period for Minnesota.
Jamestown will next play Friday against Sault College in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
