PAPILLION, NE – University of Jamestown Soccer had a split result against Bellevue Saturday.  The Jimmie women edged the Bruins 3-2 before the Bellevue men held on for a 2-1 win at Papillion Landing.

Women: Jamestown 3, Bellevue 2
Sidney Mikes put Jamestown (7-7-0) ahead to stay with a 10th minute goal, set up by Vega Canada. A 63rd-minute goal by Alyssa Caton, assisted by Kyah Gabel, gave the Jimmies a 3-1 lead.
Maju Serrano scored in the 72nd minute to bring the Bruins within 3-2.
Lily Humes scored first in the fifth minute for Bellevue (7-4-2) before Jamestown tied the match from Orianna Borrome’s goal, fed from Korey Puga, in the 10th minute.
Bellevue outshot UJ 16-11 overall and 12-10 on goal.
Allyson Johnson had 10 saves in goal for Jamestown. The Jimmies have won two in a row and three of their last four and will play Thursday against Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa.

Men: Bellevue 2, Jamestown 1
Jose-Miguel Boggio and Giovani Lima Soares scored only 33 seconds apart in the 19th minute for the goals for Bellevue (11-1-2).
Jake Simson converted a penalty kick for the only goal for Jamestown (3-8-3) in the 84th minute.
Oscar Salgado had two chances to tie the match for the Jimmies. He sent a shot high in the 88th minute, then had another saved by Bruins’ goalkeeper Taariq Ganga with three seconds left.
Bellevue had a 14-9 shot advantage and 6-5 in goal. Charlie Clark made four saves in the Jimmies’ goal.
Jamestown will close its season against Morningside Saturday in Sioux City, Iowa.
