JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown Dollars for Scholars announced a new scholarship offered by The Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy. The Medicine Shoppe Pharmacy Scholarship, to be awarded this spring, will provide $1,000 to a graduating Jamestown High School or Jamestown-BJA senior. Eligible students must have participated in hockey and/or baseball or softball for at least two years during high school.

The scholarship reflects the pharmacy’s commitment to community engagement. Pharmacy owner Matthew Perkins emphasized the importance of supporting local youth, adding that investing in them helps to “foster a brighter future for everyone.”

Matthew Perkins, PharmD, who purchased The Medicine Shoppe in 2021, has continued to build on the pharmacy’s dedication to the wellbeing of the community. The business offers a range of services, including immunizations, medication therapy management, and health screenings, designed to promote healthy living.

Sally Ost, a board member of Jamestown Dollars for Scholars, accepted the donation on behalf of the organization. She acknowledged The Medicine Shoppe’s commitment to supporting local students, noting that the scholarship will help a deserving student pursue their higher education goals.
