CARRINGTON- The Carrington Volleyball team hosted their own invitational and advanced to the quarterfinals before losing to eventual champions South Prairie-Max on Saturday.

Pool A: Carrington and Hillsboro/Central Valley drew 1-1 (25-19, 16-25)

Isabel Wendel had thirteen digs, seven assists and six kills as the Cardinals and Burros played to a time-limit draw.  Sierra Friedt had twelve assists and Sadie Lura had two blocks.

Pool A: Carrington def. Rugby 2-0 (25-21, 25-16)

Wendel, Friedt and Lura each had ten digs, Wendel and Brynn Smith had ten assists each and Carrington rolled to a win over the Panthers.

Pool A: Carrington def. Benson County 2-0 (25-16, 26-24)

Wendel had a season-high fourteen kills to go with nine digs and seven assists and Smith added fifteen assists and seven digs.  Harper Kollman had sixteen digs and Friedt added twelve more.

Bracket Play: (5) Carrington def. (12) Rugby 2-0 (25-16, 25-22)

Kollman had fifteen digs, Wendel added nine assists, eight digs, and six kills and Friedt added ten digs as the Cardinals advanced to the quarterfinals.

Bracket Play: (4) South Prairie-Max def. (5) Carrington 2-0 (25-21, 25-22

The Cardinals (13-9, 3-1) return to play Monday night at home against the Kidder County Wolves.  Coverage on KDAK The Cardinal begins at 7:00 PM
