VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Due to high wind over the weekend several residents in Valley City had tree branches fall to the ground.

On Friday, October 11th, Valley City Public Works crews will be picking up those branches on your boulevard. Please have tree branches on your boulevard by 7am on October 11th.

Meanwhile, Valley City Public Works crews worked a lot of overtime picking up trees and limbs knocked down following the 2023 Christmas Ice Storm.

Valley City Administrator Gwen Crawford said the city has been working with FEMA for months to get reimbursed for a portion of the damage caused by that ice storm. She had this update for city leaders.

Crawford said she’ll released the total amount the city will receive once FEMA finalizes the city’s request.
