JAMESTOWN – Five different players scored Saturday as University of Jamestown ACHA Division 1 Men’s Hockey completed a weekend sweep of Waldorf with a 5-1 win at Wilson Arena.
Jordan Baranesky scored the game’s first goal for the Jimmies (4-0-0) at 2:58 of the second period. Brad Fortin scored only 1:59 later to make the Jamestown lead 2-0. Kole Christensson added to the UJ lead at 14:08 of the middle period.
Gunner Vignaroli scored a powerplay goal for Waldorf at 5:41 of the third period, but Zane McDonald scored for the Jimmies at 8:30. Matthew McIntyre had the final goal of the game for Jamestown at 14:14.
Jamestown outshot Waldorf 48-29. Brandon Weare made 28 saves for the Jimmies in goal.
UJ will host Minot State on Thursday at 7:00 PM at Wilson Arena.
