JAMESTOWN – Two losses to Midland were put way behind Sunday by University of Jamestown ACHA Women’s Hockey.

The Jimmies had eight different players score in an 8-1 win over Arizona at Wilson Arena, UJ’s first win of the season.

The first three goals for the Jimmies (1-1-1-0) were in the first period.  Chloe Gauthier scored on the powerplay at 6:31, followed by a Gaby Schroder shorthanded tally at 9:53.  Sam Beaulac scored with just under two minutes left in the opening period.

Jamestown scored four more in the second period.  Rylee Gee scored at 4:43, followed by Kelsey Amick 40 seconds later.  Maddie Andrew then tallied at 13:21, followed by Alivia Frykman at 18:12.

Kiran Vugteveen gave the Jimmies their eighth goal 56 seconds into the third period.

Lilah Drew made 25 saves for the Jimmies.

Former Jamestown Blue Jay Olivia Sorlie entered the game for the Wildcats with 6:39 left in the second period and made 18 saves.

The Jimmies will play Minot State on Friday at Maysa Arena in Minot.
