JAMESTOWN – One win was good for two for Jamestown Blue Jays Volleyball on Saturday.

In a “double-counter” match, Jamestown fought through two close sets before sweeping Williston 25-21, 25-23, 25-12 at Jerry Meyer Arena.

The Blue Jays rallied from 11-4 down to win the first set.  They had a 22-13 lead before a Coyote run brought them to within 24-20 in the second set before Jamestown (11-6, 6-5 WDA) finished off the set.  The Jays then breezed through the third set.

Lucy Falk had 12 kills for Jamestown.  Mari Anderson and Leah Trumbauer each scored eight kills.  Haley Attleson had seven.  Edie Hegerle notched 33 set assists.  Hegerle also had 12 digs.  Trumbauer had 11 and Jetta Peterson saved 10.  Trumbauer had three aces.  Anderson had three blocks.

Madison Collings had 11 kills to lead the attack for Williston (5-13, 4-8).

Jamestown will host Minot on Thursday at Jerry Meyer Arena.  Coverage will begin at around 6:45 PM on The Voice of the Blue Jays, Jamestown 107.1.
