MADDOCK- The Cardinals racked up seven aces and Isabel Wendel notched another double-double as Carrington swept aside Benson County 25-20, 25-17, 25-20 in non-district action on Thursday night in Maddock.

The senior co-captain Wendel finished with sixteen assists, ten kills, and five digs in the win as the Cardinals (7-4) finished the night with 37 kills and 24 digs against the Wildcats (14-4).  Brynn Smith had fifteen assists and Calleigh Hewitt added ten kills of her own for the Cardinals, who never trailed by more than two points in any set.

Carrington take part in the prestigious Laker Invite in Des-Lacs Burlington this weekend before returning to District V play at home on Tuesday night against Barnes County North.  Coverage on KDAK begins at approximately 6:30 PM on Tuesday.
