HAWLEY, MN – University of Jamestown Women’s Golf teams took second and third places at the Comet Invitational, which concluded Wednesday at Hawley Golf Club.
The UJ 1 team was second at 82-over, led by Celi Nelson, who won individually with 152 (73-79). Isabella Crafford (83-82) and Ellie Garavaglia (81-84) tied for sixth at 165. Kyra Vogel was eighth at 168 (84-84). Tori Worner shot 171 (87-84) to place 29th.
Finishing third at 122-over was the UJ 2 team. Ava Thorenson shot 170 (90-80) to finish 10th. Peyton Johnson was 12th at 172 (85-87). Taylor Martin was 13th, shooting 173 (86-87). Kacie Rexin fired 177 (92-85) for 15th. Karsyn Swigart was 16th with 178 (90-88).
Dakota State won as a team at 67-over.
The Jimmies will play Monday and Tuesday in the Morningside Invitational in Sioux City, Iowa.
