JAMESTOWN – University of Jamestown Women’s Volleyball Head Coach Jon Hegerle likes to make the point that in his entire excellent head coaching career, even with plenty of superb teams, he’s never had a team play a perfect match.

His Jimmies weren’t far from one Wednesday.

Jamestown, aggressively attacking from the start, remained unbeaten in NSAA play with a three-set win over Dickinson State, 25-14, 25-12, 25-6 at Harold Newman Arena.

UJ (13-0, 5-0 NSAA) hit .300 in the first set and had 15 kills to five for DSU (4-13, 0-5).

In set two, the Jimmies had 12 kills and the Blue Hawks hit five as Jamestown hit .214.

There was rare dominance in the third set, when Jamestown had a 15-3 kill advantage and hit an astounding .824.

Jamestown had a 42-13 kill advantage for the match and hit .387.

Aleah Zieske had nine kills for the Jimmies with two digs, a block assist and a set assist.  Lexi Olson scored six kills (.400), two aces, two digs and a block assist.

Charlotte Lempka, Maddie Demars and Tymber Boldt had five kills each.  Lily Bertsch had 19 set assists and Tenley Buddenhagen scored 17.  Ellie Holen led defensively with 18 digs.

McKenzie Moser hit four kills for Dickinson State.

The Jimmies will next play on October 10 and 11 at the NSAA/Frontier Crossover Tournament at Montana Tech University in Butte.
