Oakes, ND (NewsDakota.com) – The Oakes Tornados have a win streak going as they got their second win in a row and second win of the season of Friday beating the Lisbon Broncos 32-6.

The Tornados scored early and often getting the first 2 scoring plays and the only scoring plays in the 1st quarter. The Opening drive brought the Tornados down to the goal line Carter Ptacek would get the hand off but fumble into the endzone. Luckily for the Tornados, Oakes lineman JJ Haggood would find the ball to score the touchdown making it 6-0. The Tornadoes would score again this time from Ptacek who would make a 60 yard dash to the endzone making it 12-0.

The Broncos would score on their second drive of the game that ended up going into the 2nd quarter. They’d score early in the quarter with a 1 yard run from Eli Lyons to make it 12-6. Oakes would respond 8 minutes later with Beau Thorpe running in from 2 yards out to make it 18-6. They’d force a Lisbon 3 and out to get the ball back and Thorpe would connect with Reese Nitschke for a 39 yard touchdown pass to make it 25-6 going to the half.

The trenches would stall in the 3rd quarter as no one would score the entire quarter. Oakes would get back to the endzone in the 4th quarter with Thorpe going through the air again to find Braysen Sagert from 10 yards out to make it 32-6. Oakes would put it away with a Chris Titus interception with 8:29 left to clinch the win.
